Whether we are talking about the U.S. efforts in Iraq or the Israeli battle to suppress Hamas, war is not the answer, yet it is the only method of resolving differences that mankind responds to. Adolph Hitler believed that "Might=Right" and tried to impose his will by conquering nations; now we witness saner world leaders following the example set by a deluded madman. Israel escalated its assault on Gaza to conquer or exterminate Hamas militants; this week the death toll was 1000 Palestinians (320 of which were children), 4 Israeli's. It is not clear how many of the 1000 Palestinians were Hamas Militants. Israel bombed a U.N. compound, but they apologized. The International Red Cross has condemned Israel for its war in Gaza, the U.N. has also become outraged, but is doing nothing. Israel is hoping to destroy Hamas, but for every innocent child killed, only creates 2 more anti-Israeli sympathizers; this will go on forever. Edwin Starr's song is more poiniant today than ever.
